Jammu, Nov 1: The Environmental Club of K.C. College of Education observed world vegan day by organizing a slogan writing activity on the theme “Vegetarianism” today. World Vegan Day, the day dedicated to the practice of abstaining from use of animal products and exploitation of animal.
The environmental club of the college organized the activity to raise awareness regarding the terms vegan and veganism. Nine members (students) of club namely Priya Kalsi, Richa Sharma, Prachi Sharma, Falguni Gupta, Neha Devi, Vandana Verma, Diksha Khajuria, Anushka Jasrotia and Pallavi Sharma participated in the activity and showcased their creativity. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo, principal, K.C. College of Education advocated the benefits of avoiding and banning the exploitation of animals, extending our love and care to other species and natural environment. The whole programme was convened by Dr. Puja Sharma Convenor, Environmental Club of K.C. College of Education. |
