Powergrid organizes Walkathon during Vigilance awareness week

JAMMU, Nov 2: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), a Maharatna company under Ministry of Power, Government of India, is observing Vigilance Awareness Week with the theme Corruption free India for a developed Nation from 31st October to 6th November, 2022 in all its offices. During this week, several programmes are being organized for creating awareness amongst masses, employees and their family members, highlighting evils of corruption and its impact on society.
A walkathon was organized for employees of Regional Head Quarters, Jammu today to spread awareness in around the areas of POWERGRID office premises. The walkathon was flagged off by Kailash Rathore, Executive Director, Northern Region-II. Kailash Rathore on this occasion emphasized on the fact that with the support of every citizen the dream of realizing Self-reliant and Intergral India is possible. He highlighted the importance of weeding out corruption from our society and nation as a whole and making India a Super Power.
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited is a Maharatna Enterprise under Ministry of Power having its regional headquarters of Northern Region-II at Jammu. POWERGRID is engaged in inter-state bulk power transmission. POWERGRID has 172,982 ckm of transmission lines, 267 Sub-stations and more than 486,592 MVA of transformation capacity. With the adoption of latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID has been able to maintain average transmission system availability >99%.
