IGNOU organizes students grievances redressal camp

JAMMU, Nov 4: As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week and strengthening the student support services mechanism in the region, Jammu regional centre of IGNOU is organizing students' grievance redressal camp at its Regional Centre w.e.f. 31st October, 2022 to 6th November, 2022. The students were informed through emails, SMS alerts to visit the RC in case there are any long pending queries or grievances. Regional Centre is simultaneously organizing grievance redressal sessions in online mode through Google Meet as well. Regional Centre Jammu has regularly been organizing such camps from time to time. A number of students visited the Regional Centre whose queries were attended by the grievance handling team of RC under the Supervision of Regional Director I/C, Dr. Sandeep Gupta. The Assistant Regional Directors, Dr. Asha Upadhyay and Dr. Vikram Singh were also present and listened to the grievances and queries of the students. The students came up with a variety of queries and grievances pertaining to assignment updation, practicals, dissertations, old assignments, online admissions, refund of fee, scholarships, SC/ST fee reimbursement, non-receipt of Grade Card, Degree, Diploma, etc. Majority of the queries were resolved on the spot. The students expressed their happiness about the organizing of such camps and settlement of their queries. Regional Director, Dr. Sandeep Gupta, informed that Regional Centre would organize more such camps in the coming days at the Regional Centre and also at the Learner Support Centres so that students belonging to far off places do not have to travel down to the Regional Centre for settlement of their grievances. He also informed that grievance redressal sessions would be held every week through the online mode and students would be informed accordingly.
