| CPI appeals for votes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Dec 19: CPI joined the democratic process fielding its six candidates in the present assembly elections. Presently two constituencies viz Jammu West and Nagrota are to go to polls where Com. N.K. Dogra from Jammu West and Com. Subash Chander from Nagrota are contesting. As per a release, CPI is fully aware of that corruption and muscle power which plays the major roll in the present system to achieve success in parliamentary democracy. It is required to be countered by hard work, struggle for masses and raising the voice for the benefit of downtrodden. In the present election we depend upon the support of small businessman tolling masses, organized and unorganized working class. We with full force demand the implementation of 6th pay commission without further delay, stop commercialization of education and health care. We promise to fight against forward trading of essential commodities particularly grains, to make Public Distribution System effective source of supply to common mass. Delimitation is the constitutional right of the people and shall be a continued process. We support to establish Delimitation Commission which will decide the number of legislative and parliamentary seats for all the three regions of the state. Communist Party appeals voters of Jammu West and Nagrota to cast their vote in favour of their candidates to fight for evils of corruption and Nepotism, the release added.
