NOWSHERA, Nov 6: Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has expressed serious concern over the worsening socioeconomic condition of the people living in the border areas of Nowshera.
This was observed by while addressing a party meeting at Nowshera, here today.
The senior National Conference leader accused the Bharatiya Janata Party Govt at the centre of creating hype about the so called ‘Rozgar Mela’ and making tall claims of solving the unemployment through this programme. He asserted that the reality remains that ‘Rozgar Mela’ turned out to be a total eye wash to befool the youth. He said that had the said Rozgar Mela made any positive impact then the youth of border belt in Nowshera would not have been living a miserable life today with no initiative from the government to create job avenues for them.
Rattan Lal Gupta said that Bharatiya Janata Party has miserably failed to fulfil the poll promises made to the Jammu and Kashmir people especially the youth. While the youth continue to suffering badly due to unemployment, the claims of development on ground by the BJP have also turned out be a cruel joke as there is no development at all on ground. He said that the ground situation reveals that people are craving for the very basic amenities like power, water and electricity supplies.
The senior National Conference leader stated that during the incumbent BJP regime at the Centre and J&K Administration led by Lt General Manoj Sinha, the weaker sections of the society are the most neglected and worst affected. He said that the so much talked about Central Sponsored Schemes by the Govt are not being fully implemented in Jammu and Kashmir especially in far flung areas and border belt. He added that the far flung areas of Kalakote Sunderbani Constituency has also ignored on developmental fronts.

He asked the Central Government as well as the Jammu and Kashmir Administration to come out with a proactive and result oriented policy for the youth of the border belt so that they no more feel to be ignored.
The Provincial President made a fervent appeal to the people to support and strengthen the party so that it comes to power in the state and implements its agenda of equitable development in letter and spirit in which the BJP government has failed miserably.
