NC leaders assess public grievances in Bishnah constituency

JAMMU, Nov 6: Secretary, Jammu Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Central Zone, Dr. Vikas Sharma conducted tour to Bishnah constituency along with Block President, Sham Lal Sadotra and listened to grievances of local people.
Dr. Sharma was apprised that the people of area were facing severe problems due to blockage in Link Canal which has badly affected the irrigation channel in Deoli, Kotli Charkan, and Dabber. Due to non-clearance of garbage from Link Channel the water supply is not reaching to the fields in destination villages, people said.
People demanded that garbage be removed from the canal but lambasted the authorities for not paying any heed to their demand.
The local villagers also raised the issue of unemployment and mentioned that youth were without any meaningful job as the requisite opportunities have not been created by the UT administration. They, however, lambasted the authorities for making available beer and other such beverages at departmental stores which they said would spoil the youth.
Later, Dr. Sharma chaired a meeting of party workers and asked them to vigorously launch outreach campaign to aware people about the development initiatives taken during the NC regime under the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Jenab Omar Abdullah. Dr Sharma blamed the BJP for spoiling the future of youth during the last seven years due to its misrule. "Recently, PM Modi mentioned that more than 30000 youth have been provided with jobs. But, I want to ask him that who got the job. Where is data that shows 30000 jobs have been provided. This is just a white lie," he questioned. He flayed the Centre for running a propaganda government and delivering only bundle of lies to poor people of J&K who had high expectations from PM Modi but got a big zero. Among those who were attended the meeting includes, Sham Lal Sadotra, Dr Gurdarshan Singh, Satpal Sharma, Narinder Singh, Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Sharma and others.
