JAMMU, Nov 7: Prof Umesh Rai felicitates Prof Kuldeep Krishan Sharma, former Dean and Head, Department of Zoology, University of Jammu on his appointment as Vice-Chancellor, Himalayan University, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Rai said that Prof Sharma has an illustrious career spread over several decades and I am sure that the Himalayan University is going to benefit immensely from his rich experience in the area of research and teaching. Prof Kuldeep Krishan Sharma has recently been awarded Ashutosh Mookerjee Fellowship under the category of senior scientist/Professor by the prestigious scientific body of India i.e. Indian Science Congress Association (ISCA) Kolkata under the fellowship programme. He will work on a decline in fish diversity in the water bodies of the Himalayan States of India. Among others, Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, University of Jammu, S.K Sharma, former J&K State Information Commissioner, Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Kuldeep S Charak, Department of Mathematics, Dr Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Dr Ginny Dogra, Deputy Director, DIQA and Dr Vinay Thusoo, Media Incharge were also present on the occasion. |
