Pinegrove School Solan declared champions

HIMACHAL PRADESH, Nov 7: Pinegrove School, Solan was declared Champions of the 2nd Invitational Cricket Tournament for Boys Under-13 2022 in the exciting and gripping Final Match against Mayo College, Ajmer. The teams played stupendously and put up a tough fight with a high degree of sportsmanship and skill. Mayo won the toss and chose to field. PGS won the match by 22 runs with a tally of 104 runs for 7 wickets.
'The Arena' saw some incredible partnerships between Jayant Singh Khatri and Milind Lohchab as well as Parth Marwaha and Harshaman Singh Luthra of Pinegrove. Rayansh Tuli of Mayo cut the odds and rocked the field along with Pranshu Kedia. The bowlers, Parth Marwaha, Shiven Goswami of PGS and Aayan Das of Mayo were admirably strategic. The electrifying ambience of the Grand Finale was elevated by the lively Girls' Pipe Band and the zestful cheerleaders.
The chief guest, Sangeeta Kain, Principal, Welham Boys' School formally addressed the gathering with her beautifully inspiring words of wisdom and motivation before declaring the Tournament successfully closed. She appreciated the sound technical acumen of the teams and their 'humility in victory and dignity in defeat' whilst encouraging an undying spirit of gratitude for privileges and perseverance against setbacks, among the leaders of tomorrow.
The 5-day thrilling matches under the careful supervision of Head Sports, Surinder Mehta brought out the best in all the participanting young cricketers and ended with a glittering prize distribution ceremony.
Man of the Match of the final match was Jayant Singh Khatri of Pinegrove School while Best Bowler of the tournament was Parth Marwaha (PGS), Manraj Ranaut of Mayo was declared the Best Fielder,
Best Wicket-Keeper of the tournament was Sarthak Goyal (Mayo), Best Upcoming Player was Jayant Singh Khatri (PGS) and the Player of the Tournament was Rayansh Tuli (Mayo).
