Confusion grips Cong leaders after Azad hopes good show in Gujarat, HP polls
11/8/2022 10:56:41 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 8: After reviving his love for the Congress party, veteran politician Ghulam Nabi Azad is avoiding attacking any political party during his rallies in different areas of the Doda, Ramban, and Kishtwar districts of Jammu province.
For the last week, Azad is addressing rallies in Kistwar and Doda districts which are considered his strongholds.
Wishing anonymity some aides told the Early Times that Azad’s statement on Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh assembly elections was a well-calculated move. “The statement was not given without consideration. The statement has created confusion among incumbent Congress leadership in the whole country”, he said and added that some senior leaders of Congress are working behind the scene to create a situation for honourable Ghar-Wapsi of Azad.
However, sources in Congress said that Azad’s statement on Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections has created confusion among party workers and leaders.
“After terming Congress as the only force to face BJP, Azad has successfully created an impression among Congress leaders and workers that the option of Ghar-Wapsi is still there”, sources said.
As reported earlier, on November 6, Azad stunned everyone by stating, “Although I have separated from Congress, I wasn't against their policy of secularism. It was only due to the party's system getting weakened. I would still want Congress to perform well in Gujarat and HP Assembly polls. AAP isn't capable to do so”.
On Tuesday while addressing a huge public meeting at Changa Bhlessa and Gali Batoli of Doda, Azad only focused on development. He assured the people that all the pending works of development in Bhelessa in particular and all over Jammu and Kashmir in general will be executed more promptly than before.
