Bhavishya Academy to hold 'Kala Darpan' show on Saturday

JAMMU, Nov 9: Bhavishya Academy an Institute of Music and Dance, affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh is organizing an event "Kala Darpan" at Convention centre here on November 12, Saturday from 5 PM to 7 PM.
The dance academy is a Kathak dance institute affiliated to Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh. The students learn the nuances of classical dance.
Former Minister of State for Culture, Education, Technical Education, Tourism, Horticulture, Floriculture, Priya Sethi will be the chief guest on the occasion. Gauri Diwakar, an eminent personality in the field of kathak will be the guest of honour.
Gauri Diwakar is disciple of Pt. Birju Maharaj, Pt. Jai Kishan Mahara and Smt. Aditi Mangaldas. She is a recipient of the prestigious Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar by the Sangeet Natak Akademi- India's national academy for music, dance and drama (2008). Other recognitions include Jaydev Pratibha Puraskar (2015) and Sringar Mani award (2002).
