12/19/2008 10:35:48 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 19: Srinagar district is though reeling under chill and strict security restrictions in view of separatist rumblings to enforce poll boycott but the winter Capital City of Jammu is becoming most exciting place by every coming day as the last phase of polling comes near.
Next few days are going to see top political stars of country touching down ground in Jammu to campaign for their respective parties nominees. Congress President Sonia Gandhi, former Deputy Prime Minister LK Advani, Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav and Amar Singh have drawn up their campaign scheduled for Jammu and Samba for next few days.
In this phase, polling will be held in 11 assembly segments of Jammu District, two assembly constituencies of Samba district and eight constituencies of Srinagar district.
Top BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi and Arun Jaitly are already in the town. While addressing the gatherings Jaitley appealed the people to stand united in view of political challenges and vote in favour of BJP candidates. He stressed the need that discrimination has become a permanent character and even parties like Congress have played Kashmir-centric role. Parties like PDP and National Conference are local parties and they cannot cross their limits and present situation requires that people should vote in favour of BJP, as BJP has a definite programme and policy with respect to redressal of grievances of Jammu people and have a blue print for the prosperity of all three regions.
Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi said it is painful that responsible minister A.R Antulay, in the Centre Government has made irresponsible statement where by he has malined the role of security forces and have raised certain question marks with respect to Mumbai blast killings and his tendering resignation is not sufficient, he should either be sacked or government should resign if his allegations are correct. He further stated that during his tenure equal distribution of KVS Schools was made in all three regions of Jammu and Kashmir. He appealed the people to vote for all BJP candidates. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta also address the rally.
