| LJSP activists join Congress | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, DEC 20: Congress party received a shot in arm when senior leader and district general secretary of Lok Jan Shakti Party, Harbans Kour Khalsa along with large number of supporters resigned from the party and joined congress party in presence of veteran congress leader Janak Raj Gupta here today and pledged to support the party candidates. Before joining the party she said that she was moved by the policies and progammes of the Congress party and the commitment of its leadership, especially AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi, for ensuing speedy development of the state. She said that the measures initiated by the party for the betterment of poor and down trodden were praise worth. Former minister B R Kundal and Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Arvind Singh Mickey were among other present on the occasion. While welcoming her entry into the party for Gupta said that her joining the party at this state will strengthen the party and hoped that she would take the policies and programmes of the party to each and every household.
