8 including 4 women, killed in Kishtwar accident

Kishtwar, Nov 16: In a tragic accident in Rachal area of Renie Marwah in Kishtwar District, 8 people, including 4 women, died after a Tata Sumo in which they were traveling in fell into a Renie Nallah on Wednesday.
As per the details available with Early Times, the ill-fated vehicle which was on its way from Yurdoo to Renie it met with an accident near Alasyar resulting in on spot death of all the passengers including the driver of the vehicle.
“Today at about 1800 Hours an information received that an accident of a vehicle(Tata Sumo) occurred at Alasyar road towards Tatapani Marwah .
Police party rushed on spot as per initial reports 8 casualties reported in which 4 are male and 4 are females” SSP Kishtwar informed.
As soon as word about the accident spread the locals immediately rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation.
After hectic efforts, bodies of all the deceased were recovered from the accident site.
Police said that the FIR has been registered and investigation has been set into motion.
As per the police, the deceased were identified as Mohammad Amin s/o Ghulam Mustafa Sheikh R/o Chanjer Marwah (Local Contractor), Driver Umer Gani s/o Abdul Gani Shah R/o Nowapachi Marwah, Mohammad Irfan s/o Mohammad Ramzan Hajam R/o Qaderna Marwah, Afaq Ahmed s/0 Bashir Ahmed Hajam R/o Thachna Dachhan (Medical Assistant), Asia Banoo D/o Mohammad Younis R/o Yurdoo Marwah, Safoora Banoo D/O Ghulam Rasool R/o Anjer Marwah, Muzamila Banoo D/o Zahoor Ahmed Malik R/O Yurdoo Marwah & Mohsina D/o Gulam Rasool R/o Anjer Marwah.
Pertinently,16 people have died in 3 accidents in Doda and Kishtwar Districts in the last few days including SE, XEn & AEE of R&B Department.
