MVIS Wins 2Nd Prize At State Level Painting Competition

Jammu, Nov 16: NHPC - National Hydro Electric Power Corporation Private Limited, organized State Level Painting Competition on the topic “Energy Conservation” to promote awareness for energy conservation in school children. 100 participants from 55 reputed schools of CBSE & JKBOSE participated in this state level event. Simran Kumari of class 10th from MV International School brought laurels to the school by winning 2nd Prize in Group B. She was awarded with prize money of ₹30,000/- and certificate of excellence, she has now been selected in J&K team for national level event that will be held at New Delhi in December 2022. Simran with another student Salloni Hans of class 10th had represented the school in this event. They both were felicitated with additional prize money of Rs 2,000/- each, during the event. Sh. S.K Jena, General Manager (Finance) and Sanaka Luha, General Manager (Civil) from NHPC presented the awards to the winners. The students were prepared under the supervision of Art Teacher of school Mr Ajay Kumar. Topics of the competition were shared with the participants on the spot to check their level of awareness. Evaluation was done by a five-member Jury consisting of eminent personalities in the field of art and culture. On this occasion, Executive Director, NHPC, Sh. Deepak Saigal said that children can be the first brand ambassadors for spreading the message on energy conservation and these painting competitions shall go a long way in this mission. Director of School Mr. Gourav Abrol complemented the Art Department of the school for this unique achievement.
