| There may be air strike: Report | | | Agencies New Delhi, Dec 20: Top Indian officials, including External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee and Defence Minister AK Antony, have repeatedly said that India was not considering any military action against Pakistan in the wake of Mumbai terror attacks. However, a report has claimed that India could well launch air strikes in the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir as well as other places in the neighbouring country. Global intelligence service Stratfor said in a report: “Indian military operations against targets in Pakistan have in fact been prepared and await the signal to go forward.” The report came amid remarks by Pranab Mukherjee that India was obliged to "consider the entire range of options that exist" with the failure of Pakistan to deliver on its promise of not supporting terror activities. "Terrorism remains a scourge for our region. If a country cannot keep the assurances that it has given, then it obliges us to consider the entire range of options that exist to protect our interests and people from this menace," Pranab said, without naming Islamabad. "We have made repeated appeals to our neighbours over the years to ensure that they do not provide support to terrorist activities and to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure...but our pleas have been ignored in spite of assurances given by them," he added.
