GCOE holds Mega placement Drive

Jammu, Nov 18: Placement Cell of Government College of Education, Canal Road conducted a Mega Placement drive for B.Ed and M.Ed students of final Semester and pass out students in its campus.
Prof. Aekta Gupta, Principal of the college said that efforts will bring fruitful results as the members of the colleges and schools and the students are very enthusiastic about the mega recruitment drive. She lauded the efforts of the Placement cell for making the drive a huge success.
The objective of the drive was to provide an opportunity to the students to get recruited and to provide them a new experience in the field.
Eligible candidates of M.Ed and B.Ed were invited by Dr. Rajinder Kaur (M.Ed co-ordinator) and Prof. Anju Bala (B.Ed co-ordinator) to appear in the interviews conducted by panel of experts comprising senior faculty of GCOE
The College invited Principals and members of management committees of top-notch colleges and schools of Jammu and Samba which included Kamal Public Hr. Sec School, Ramgarh, Jammu Sanskriti School, Sher-e-Kashmir College, Kalra College of Education, Rajiv Gandhi College, Khalsa College of Education, KC School & College of Education, Kawa College.Around 50 students of M.Ed and B.Ed appeared in the interview enthusiastically and about 40 students were recommended by the Advisory Committee of the college for available vacancies in participating colleges and schools .
The mega placement drive was organised by the placement cell headed by Prof. Shalini Rana (Convenor), Dr. Shubhra Jamwal (co-convenor, Placement Cell), Dr. Tahira Shah , Dr. Anuradha Seth, Prof. Radhika Mahajan, Prof. Shapia, Prof. Sarita , Prof. Neeraj , Prof. Seema, Dr. Deep Bangota and Dr. Raman deep.
Student managers of the drive were Shallu Khajuria, Sunaina Kapoor, Anu Bagal, Mehak , Arush, Anikita, Riya, Heena and Nisha.
