He said that entire World acknowledged the bold and dynamic leadership of Indira Gandhi who sacrificed her life for the unity and integrity of the nation and always worked for the upliftment of the poor and down trodden . The Congress party and its leadership right from Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and till date always stood for unity in diversity and fought against the communal and divisive forces.
Wani refered to the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra of Congress party being led by Rahul Gandhi which is receiving tremendous response from te entire Country against the divisive policies and the failures of the Govt. to tackle large scale unemployment, price rise and economic distress and appealed to te common people to join the Yatra when it reaches in Jammu and Kashmir in January.
