Jammu, Nov 21: Organ Donation Collage Inter College Competition held as an event of SOTTO’s month long awareness campaign.
State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) J&K in its seventh event organised a Collage Making Competition on “Organ Donation” at Bee Enn College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal Jammu.
Students from various paramedical colleges participated in the competition.
The competition encouraged students to express themselves via their art and bring out the spirit of giving which is the hallmark of the selfless love of Organ Donation.
Dr. Sanjeev Puri, Joint Director SOTTO, while speaking on the occasion, said that Organ Donation is important for society There are thousands of patients waiting every day for an organ transplant, many keep waiting because of the lack of donors. He also motivated students to pledge Organs.
Government College of Nursing Gangyal secured first position, Bee Enn Nursing Institute, Chak Bhalwal secured second position and Rajiv Gandhi College of Nursing Chak Bhalwal secured third position in the Collage Making Competition.
Anshu Sharma, IEC & Media Consultant, SOTTO informed that on Wednesday, 23rd November, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp to be held from 11 AM onwards at Blood Bank, GMC Jammu, being last activity of this month long Organ Donation activities.
Welcome address was presented by Prof. (Mr.) Frank J.C, Principal
Bee Enn College of Nursing and Vote of thanks was presented by Mrs.Neetu Sharma, Principal, Bee Enn Nursing Institute.
