"We are with out brethren in colleges demanding open-choice. There case is genuine and ours too. The entire admission process in various Post-Graduate courses was completed in October because of hostile conditions in the Jammu region and in two months how can the syllabus of six months be completed," said the JURSEA president Vikas Sharma adding that authorities have to give Open-Choice to the students. He further condemned the Police lathi-charge on the college students on Friday and said that JURSEA is also starting a campaign at College level against the government for not making a local as vice-chancellor of Jammu University. Among others Rakesh Chib, Irfan and K D Singh were also present during the press conference. It is pertinent to mention here that College students in Jammu City are demanding relaxation in the exams on the plea that their study has suffered due to the Amarnath Yatra land agitation in July and August this year.
