Public Participation
11/21/2022 10:52:26 PM
During the past three years participation of the public in governance has brought efficiency, transparency and social justice in governance.
Thousands of people participating in the recently concluded Back to Village Programme-IV was an achievement for the administration. People put forth their grievances before the officials and these were redressed on the spot. The issues that couldn’t be addressed on the spot were passed on to the concerned departments for early resolution.
The B2V-IV provided a platform to the common people to interact with officials as the administration had come to their doorstep.
After the abrogation of Article 370, the system in J&K has changed completely. The Centre is managing all the affairs directly. J&K’s transition into a Union Territory has proven to be a blessing for the common man. His issues are being heard and addressed.
Various ways and means adopted by the government to listen to the people have made the administration accessible to all.
In this month’s ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ programme, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha shared the achievements of recently concluded Back to Village-4 programme, reforms in agriculture & allied sectors and inspirational stories of young and promising entrepreneurs of Jammu Kashmir.
The ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ among the people has been an instant hit as the common people get a chance to get directly with LG Sinha. Through this public outreach programme, LG Sinha gets direct feedback from the ground and remains connected to the people. He is leading from the front which is making the entire administration follow into his footsteps. LG Sinha through ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ programme takes inputs from the people and shares these with the concerned departments with clear cut directions to address the issues without any delay. The entire idea of governing J&K revolves around involving more and more people into the governance system and the idea is working. People in J&K are reaping the fruits of good governance and are actively participating in all the programmes of the government.
J&K is changing and is changing fast. People are getting what they didn’t get for the 70-years.
LG Sinha has set new benchmarks of governance and things are moving at a fast pace. Not only development, the government is concentrating on all the factors that have put J&K on the path of prosperity and progress.
