BKS organises two day workshop on Duggar folk art

Jammu, Nov 22 Two days Work shop on Duggar Folk Art form “BHAGTIAN” was organised by Bhartiya Kala Sangam (Regd.) Jammu in collaboration with Ministry of Culture Govt. of India under (CFGS) held at Mandal (Lora) & Raipur Satwari Jammu Cantt. here today.
On the Occasion Sh. Balbir Singh Sarpanch was the Chief Guest & Sh. Prem Chand Panch was the Guest of Honour
Gardari Lal Bhagatya and Mohan Lal Bhagatya were the expert of the workshop and also interested with the participants and deliver their lecture on folk art form “BHAGTIAN” and also performed on the occasion. The experts after a day’s longs discussion with the folk artists of decided this folk art form once flourished in this region and was one of the prominently folk style performed by folk artists in Jammu Region.
On the occasion Ramesh Singh, Director, Bhartiya Kala Sangam, Jammu spoke on the occasion that in the Jammu region only one folk party promote in these art form. The efforts of the Bhartiya Kala Sangam to promote these dying folk art form Bhagtian . The Director expert given the important direction / training of these folk artists for upcoming presentation of these folk art form “BHAGTIAN” a unique style and look at the earliest.
Ramesh Singh Chib Director Bhartiya Kala Sangam Reiterated his resolve to promote and increase the number of Dogri folk parties Bhagtiyan . He inform that till now Bhartiya Kala Sangam has increased such party from one to three parties of Bhagtiyan.
The programme was anchored by renowned artist Vaishno Rani Chib, vote of thanks presented by Sh. Ramesh Singh, Director, Bhartiya Kala Sangam, Jammu.
