Jammu, Nov 22: The Environment Unit of MIER College of Education organized an inter-department essay writing competition on the topic “Ecosystem Restoration”.
The programme was held under the patronage of the College Principal Prof. Adit Gupta. He motivated the students to express their original ideas and experiences on the theme of the essay. More than 18 students from UG and PG departments of the college participated in the competition and displayed their critical and creative ability. The event was judged by Mrs. Manjari Sehgal, Incharge Senior Wing, and Mrs. Bharti Bhalwal, English faculty, Model Academy school. The first position was bagged by Ms. Khushi Sharma from B.Ed. Semester III, Ms. Khushi Jhanavi from B.A Political Science, Semester I secured second position, Ms. Sonia Choudhary from B.Ed. Special Education, Semester III clinched third position while consolation prize was given to Ms. Mansi Verma of B.Ed. Semester III. The programme was compered by Ms. Barbie of B.Ed. Semester III and the formal vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Taniya Dogra, student of M.Ed. Semester III. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Suman Gupta, Incharge Environment Unit. |
