SIA conducts raids in Kishtwar

Kishtwar, Nov 24: Continuing it’s investigation into the terror related funding and online threat to the Journalist in valley, State Investigation Agency, Kashmir Division on Thursday morning conducted a raid in Tund area of Hidyal in outskirts of Kishtwaf town.
As per the details available with Early Times, SIA officials accompanied by local Magistrate and police knock at the door of one Minhaj Bashir S/O Bashir Ahmad Sheikh R/o Tund Kishtwar in wee hours of morning and immediately started questioning the 22 year old suspect.
The official sources told Early Times that the raid that begin at around 5 AM in the morning and ended after 5 hour following that Kishtwar Police also question the suspect person.
22 year old Minhaj Bashir is reportedly Persuading Nursing course from a local institution after passing 10+2 and is in home since last one year.
The official sources also told Early Times that electronic devices including one mobile phone has been seized by the raiding team from Menhaj while SIA also questioned him about his connection with some Pakistani friends with whom he regularly chats and communicates through different social media apps.
SIA also collected his personal details including his bank account numbers and ADHAAR and was directed to report at Srinagar office for further investigation.
Minhaj name according to senior officials surfaced during ongoing investigation into terror funding and online threat to journalists in valley terming them as an agents and source to Indian establishment following which few journalists resigned in fear.
Jammu and Kashmir police also issued advisory to media houses including social media users not to discuss and name the journalists in public against whom threats were issued.
“He looks very simple guy - we were shocked to know about his (Minhaj) activities” the locals told Early Times following raids conducted at his house in Tund area.
It is pertinent to mention that in several high profile cases viz 2004 UP serial blast, September 7, 2011 Delhi High Court blast, Actress Laila Khan and her family brutal murder case had Kishtwar connection.
