Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22-The JKNPP Chairman Prof. Bhim Singh, who is also the party candidate from Jammu East, today urged upon the Election Commission of India to disqualify Congress Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party candidates for committing serious violation of the Model Code of Conduct and indulging in corrupt practices.
‘The Congress is using official audio visual footage of the state Information Department in its advertisements for electioneering being shown on local Television channels namely JK Channel and Take1 regularly’, he alleged and said that these documentaries were shot by the state government during official functions including inaugurations of government hospitals, roads etc. The amount spent on such shooting was paid from the state exchequer and the shooting was done by the state government employees, he said. This amounts to corrupt practices and misuse of official machinery, thus violating the Code of Conduct he said and demanded disqualification of the Congress candidates forthwith.

He said that on the other hand, UP Chief Minister and President of BSP Mayawati has got published her full page advertisements in Newspapers of Jammu today regarding launching of a project in Varanasi on December 20, which has nothing to do with Jammu and has been got published only with malafide intention and aim to influence the electorates in Jammu. This advertisement has been issued by the Information and Public Relations Department of Government of UP. It clearly establishes the criminal intention to influence the electorates and also amounts to wastage of public money for election purposes, hence the candidates of BSP should also be disqualified, he demanded
