| Constitution Day Celebrated at GGM Science College | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 26: To commemorate Constitution Day NSS GGM Science College organized reading of Preamble of Constitution of India under the patronage of worthy Principal Dr Rajesh Gupta and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan. NSS volunteers read the preamble in oval garden along with NSS Program Officer and Principal of the college.
The Constitution Day - or 'Samvidhan Divas' - is celebrated on November 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Preamble of the Indian Constitution is based on the 'Objectives Resolution', drafted and moved by Pandit Nehru, and adopted by the Constituent Assembly. It was moved by Nehru on December 13, 1946, and adopted by the Constituent Assembly on January 22, 1947. Plantation drive was also carried out in the college campus by NSS volunteers. |
