Jammu, Dec 22- Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar lifted Dr. Surinder Sharma Memorial trophy in the quiz final conducted by the Department of Students Welfare Jammu University at Brig. Rajinder Singh Stadium. Acharya Sri Chandra Collge of Medical Sciences, Sidhar and GGM Science College bagged second and third prize respectively.
There were several rounds of oral questions related to the civilization, history, science, economics , politics , sports , culture and general knowledge , which were followed by the rapid fire as well as audio visual rounds .
Dean Student’s Welfare Jammu University Prof Dhian Singh Bhau awarded the trophies to the winning teams.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Bhau also remembered late Dr. Surinder Sharma an efficient officer of the university and a very good human being who also served in the Department of Students welfare as assistant Registrar, but the University lost him in the prime of his youth. He also expressed his gratitude to the members of the campus cultural committee, Students Cultural Council, Teachers and students.
Among others Dr. Shaliendra Singh, Vijay Atri, Assistant Dean, Cultural Affairs, Vinay Thusoo, Juhie Mohan, Hemant Kumar, Sohan Lal and Isha Tagger were also presented on the occasion.
