Omar thanked the people of the state for giving National Conference simple majority in the first six phases of the ongoing assembly elections and appealed to the people of Srinagar, Samba and Jammu districts to vote for the party so as to strengthen the mandate received by the people in the last six phases.
Omar said he was confident that if the people in the last phase of elections vote overwhelmingly for the National Conference, the party will achieve the two-third majority.

He said the new National Conference government will focus on the employment of the unemployed youth of the state and shall work to create new avenues of employment besides filling the existing vacant posts in the government departments.
National Conference ended its election campaigning with an impressive two kilometer boat rally on the historic Dal Lake which culminated in an impressive public meeting at Bejbehri. Earlier, Omar addressed rallies in Dagpora, Mirpora and Malbag in Srinagar.
Senior National Conference leaders Dr. Mehboob Beg, Mohammed Akbar Lone, Aga Sayeed Rahoola, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool and Devender Singh Rana also accompanied Omar.
