| Students stage unique protest outside University demanding open choice | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22- Students belonging to different government degree colleges in Jammu are in no mood to call off their agitation till their demands vis-a-vis open choice were conceded by the Jammu university authorities.
Continuing with their agitation large number of college going students after boycotting their classes once again blocked traffic outside Jammu university gate and urged University authorities to wake up from deep slumber and concede their genuine demands. The students took off their shirts and protested with bare chests shouting slogans against the university authorities for not listening to their demands.
The agitating students said the principals of different degree colleges are furnishing incorrect information to the university authorities related to completion of syllabus.
The students said that their colleges are again being closed down due to ongoing assembly polls but there is no word from the university authorities over wastage of working days. The students said that the principals are claiming that extra classes were being organized to complete the syllabus.
This is untrue, no where in the colleges extra classes were organized, they claimed.
.The students are agitating for past several days in support of their demand to avail open choice facility during graduate and post graduate examination
