POONCH, Nov 30: Jan Abhiyan under My Town My Pride (MTMP2.0) program is in full swing at Poonch. As part of the program, various services of different departments are being provided to the people in Municipalities at their doorsteps.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Mohd Tanveer among the others visited the stalls set up at Dak banglow poonch. Among others who accompanied the ADDC during his visit were Joint Director, Horticulture, and CEO MC Poonch, Varinderpal Singh. It is pertinent to mention here that the UT administration after getting an enthusiastic response from the general public from B2V4 and My Town My Pride 1.0, has decided to start the second edition of MTMP. Prior to the commencement of the program, Jan Abhiyan has been launched which is gaining full momentum at Poonch. Various activities are being carried out in the district as a part of this program and thrust is to ensure that the benefits of different Govt schemes and programs reaches to the last beneficiaries in the urban areas.
Today, in continuation of these activities, the Municipal Authorities Poonch carried out a sanitation drive under the overall supervision of the EO Municipality Poonch.
During the event, the public was sensitised about the benefits and importance of cleanliness, sanitation,waste segregation and were urged and motivated to keep their environment neat and clean.
Stress was being laid on saturation of all deliverables of different departments during this ongoing Jan Abhiyan and different departments are making dedicated efforts in this direction and it is being made sure that the last beneficiary in queue gets benefited with the welfare initiatives of the Government.
