| Natrang brings laurels in International Theatre Festivals | | | AGENCIES
Behrampore (W.B), Dec 22: Natrang won accolades in the 8th International Theatre festival held at Behrampur in West Bengal. The International theatre community highly appreciated the Natrang's presentation 'Sainyan Bhaye Kotwal' directed by Balwant Thakur for the electrifying acting, creative music and innovative production design.
After the staging of the play, the actor and director of the Flying Fish Theatre Company of Berlin (Germany) had an interaction program with the artists of Natrang and dwelt in detail about various artistic aspects of the play. They were highly impressed by the use of actors and their intense acting energy. Later, the German actors held demonstration, based on their theatre approach and the new innovations being made in German theatre. The impact of Natrang's performance was that high that they expressed their keen desire to work with the group and to have an exchange program with Natrang. The presentations of Natrang are supported by Sangeet Natak Akademi, New Delhi, North Zone Cultural Centre and J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages.

Natrang team is currently on tour to Kolkatta and Behrampore with the production of 'Sainyan Kotwal' which has been selected for two International Theatre festivals being held in Kolkatta and Behrampore. |
