| Javid Reshi raises pensioners' issues | | | Early Times Report
Poonch, Dec 1: December 01 Renowned socio political activist Mr. Javid Iqbal Reshi today raised the issue of pensioners with Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir and urged LG Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to intervene and modify the order of attestation of affidavits of widow pension, old age pension, disability pension to be done by the Judicial (Judges) Magistrates and withdraw the domicile certificates as nintyfive percent of these pensioners have not made the domicile certificates. He right a memorandum to LG Jammu and Kashmir and appealed to him to direct concern department to modify the order of verification of these pensioners. He further said, "lakhs of people are suffering, waiting for their affidavits in court, domicile certificates in tehsildars offices, for online on computer centers, for old age and disability certificates at medical offices.". He further said, most of the deserving and genuine benificiaries can be left in this verification. He has appealed to Lieutenant Governor to direct social welfare department to modify this order. |
