GDC Marh organises maiden capacity programme

JAMMU, Dec 2: Government Degree College Marh, organized Maiden one month Capacity Building Programme (CBP) for faculty and staff in computer field under the guidance of Principal of the college Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul from 01.12.2022 to 31.12.2022.
Principal, While inaugurating the programme in skill lab, he highlighted the necessity and use of e- technology and e- resources in current times which enhances the skills, capacities, capabilities of the teaching as well as non- teaching staff of the college.
He further stressed that this training programme will empower them with the skills to use the computer with ease in their day to day life together with becoming an asset for the college and also make a living after retirement.
He also directed all the departments of Arts, Science and Commerce to hold such CBP in their fields also. The entire faculty including library staff and office staff participated enthusiastically in this capacity building training to develop skills in the field of computer.
The course in the said programme shall include practical hands on training related to MS office (word, excel, power point), MS-Paint, Photoshop and e- learning.
At the end of the CBP, a practical test shall be conducted to assess the outcome of the training program under the direct supervision of worthy Principal. Prof Shallu Gupta, HOD Computer Applications shall act as coordinator of this programme and will be assisted by Dr. Mohd Rafiq Shah (HOD, Commerce), Neha (Lecturer) and Samit Gupta (Junior Assistant).
It is pertinent to mention that internal resources have been utilized for the conduct of CBP training workshop and has no burden on the government exchequer. Prof. Asha Kumari presented vote of thanks.
