| Bovine smuggler arrested, 18 bovines rescued by police | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, Dec 4: Intensifying its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, IPS successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines, rescued 18 bovines and arrested a bovine smuggler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
A Police party of PP Mansar while performing vehicle checking duty at Naka point, Mansar intercepted a truck bearing Reg. No. JK18A/0849 for checking.
During checking, 18 bovines were found laden inside the said truck without any permission and were tied in a cruel manner.
The driver of the vehicle namely Sadiq S/O Gh Nabi R/O Qazigund has been arrested.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 293/2022 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered in Police Station Samba.
All the bovines mentioned in above incidents were rescued and shifted to a safer place. The vehicle used for transporting the bovines were also seized |
