SKPA holds course on developing good communication, behaviour towards general public

JAMMU, Dec 5: 3 days course on "Developing Good Communication, Skills, Behaviour, Attitude and Responsibility towards the General Public" commenced today at SKPA. 15 officers of J&K Police of the rank Inspectors to SSPs are participating in the training progrramme. The course has been designed to meet the basic objectives like frame work of emotional intelligence, self-awareness, Emotional self-control, Emotional expression, identifying need for soft skills/emotional intelligence in relation to police profession, stress and time management for self-leadership in police organization, behavior and attitude viz -a -viz managing change in police organization, self awareness, self improvement, effective communication and improving the organization productively in police organization, essentials role and importance of communication skills in policing, use of inter personal skills in improving the police public relationship, effective inter personal communication (IPC) and team building in police organization and professional ethics and human values. To meet the desired objectives eminent guest faculties from different Academia have been invited.
The course was inaugurated by Mohan Lal, JKPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor Trgs). In his inaugural address Mohan Lal, JKPS, SSP, welcomed all the course participants on behalf of worthy Director SKPA and laid stress that the adaptation in change in behavior and attitude of a Police personnel towards the General Public is the need of the hour vis-à-vis it depends upon communication skills to convey your thoughts, Ideas to other persons as well as to handle the conflict situation. The session was also attended by the other officers of the Academy.
The course is being coordinated by Sunmati Gupta, Dy.SP, AD(Q) and assisted by Chander Mohan, Inspector member faculty
