Nothing illegal: High Court
12/23/2008 10:44:16 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 23- Justice Nirmal Singh of J&K High Court Jammu wing in a petition filed by Dr. Tahir Afzal, challenging the selection of private respondent as lecturer in the discipline of orthopedics without conducting any interview of the eligible candidates who applied for the post in question, dismissed the petition with the observations that the court is of the opinion that selecting authority has not committed any illegality in selecting respondent No 3 to the post of lecturer on contractual basis. As regard respondent No 4 he was selected for a period of one year or till regular selection is made but he was not allowed to join as in his place a regular selected candidate who stands appointed on substantive basis has joined, therefore, the petitioner cannot have any grievance with regard to his selection and writ-qua him as become in fructuous and dismissed the petition as found to be without merit.
