| BJP, Congress responsible for all odds of Jammu: DPN | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 23- Accusing Bhartia Janta Party and Congress for the odds being faced by the people of Jammu, Democratic Party Nationalist (DPN) leader K.K Khosa said that the people of the province have always been mislead through deceptive slogans. In a statement issued here on Tuesday, he said that no political party has ever strived to give practical shape to their spoken words as a result of which the province has lagged behind in every sphere of life. “What more than the lack of development even in the winter capital city can reflect the plight of the people of this province,” he said and added that no development took place even during Mangat Ram Sharma tenure as Deputy Chief Minister of the state. Decrying Congress for its role during the Amaranth land row, he said that the issue would have not cropped up had the party kept in consideration the emotions of Jammu people as well. “Their every step was irresponsible all along. They could not handle the situation only because they lacked the capability to cope the situation,” he said and added that the congress leaders were under such an influence of their Kashmir based counterparts that they sacrificed the aspiration of Jammu people. He further said that congress always came into power by the support of Jammu people, but it never took care of the aspirations of the people as a result of which the people of the province suffer in every field. He further said that the successive dispensations of state failed to address the problems of the Jammuities since independence and were able to gain support on false assurances. Decrying Bhartia Janta Party for what he calls lip service to the people of Jammu, he said that they have never displayed their commitment in solving the problems of Jammu when they were in power at center for about six years. “What relief did they bring for the people of Jammu during their regime at centre,” he asked and added that they only fling dust on others but were equally responsible for every trouble of the people of Jammu province.
