REASI, Dec 6: Director, Sheep Husbandry, Jammu Krishan Lal today visited District Reasi to attend the “JAN ABHIYAN” activities launched by the Government.
He participated in an awareness camp organized by the Sheep Husbandry Department and interacted with Sheep & Goat breeders of the area. He informed the public and PRIs regarding the schemes launched by the Department for the welfare of the farmers. He exhorted the people to come forward to avail the benefits of Integrated Sheep Development Scheme, AHIDF, PMFME, Livestock insurance and value addition of the products and also stressed upon the machine shearing.
The public brought a number of issues to the notice of the Director. He gave a patient hearing and assured that efforts shall be made to redress their issues as per laid down norms in a time bound manner.
Dr. P.P. Sajotra, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Reasi and Dr. R.K. Manhas Deputy Director, Govt. Sheep Breeding Farm Reasi, besides officers and officials of the Department were also present. |
