| Display your talent | | Nition Parihar win first prize in essay writing | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Nitin Parihar of The Law School, University of Jammu bagged First prize in the Intercollegiate. On the spot Essay Writing contest, conducted under the “Display Your Talent” 2008-09. Radhika Sharma from Model institute of Education and Research and Atul Veram from Model institute of Engineering and Technology, cllnched Second and Third prize, respectively. The certiflcates of merit were awarded to Anu Salaria from Bhargava Degree College, Samba and Vandana Jamwal from The Business School, University of Jammu.
The topics of the contest were” International Terrorism “Global Warming “and “Globalized econmomy”. Dr Parmeshwari Sharma was the teacher incharege of the Essay Writing contest and apprised the participants about the rules and regulations.
In their essays, written on global warming, students expressed that inreal sense the man has made progress at the cost of its environment. The Industriial setups, which release numerous gases which get accumulatd in the atmosphere and leads to the global warming. About terrorism students were of the view that all the countries should join hands to curb the terrorism, firmly.
The event was supervised by Gurpal Singh, Kulbhushan Thakur, Balwant Singh Slathia, S.S.Bhalla, Joginder Singh, Yashpal, Rampaul and Madan Lal
