SCERT conducts 3-day workshop

JAMMU, Dec 8: A 3-Days workshop on "Finalization/Vetting of Supplementary Material/TLM for ECCE/Foundation Literacy and Numeracy was organised by SCERT J&K under the directions of worthy Principal Secretary School Education Department Shri Alok Kumar-IRS on demand of Samagra Shiksha J&K with inputs from Resource persons from field and Pratham Foundation w.e.f. 05/12/2022 to 7/12/2022 at SCERT Jammu. The workshop was attended by 48 subject specialists/experts from SCERT J&K and field level RPs, supplementary material/TLM in different subjects-worksheets, flashcards, poems and short stories developed for ECCE and FLN was finalized in the first phase.
The valedictory session was chaired by Joint Director SCERT Jammu Division H.R Pakhroo and I/C Joint Director SCERT-JK Central, Fayaz Ahmad Fayaz which was attended by Associate Professors, N.P. Singh, Pawan Kumar Gupta, Kishore Kumar, Vinod Mahajan, Dr Neeraj Jandial; Assistant Professors Irvinder Kour, Dr. Sanjeevani and Parveen Akhter along with other faculty members of SCERT J&K. Team ECCE was supervised by Jaswinder Kour Co-ordinator Divisional Resource Centre Govt Pre-Schools of Jammu Division and Team FLN was supervised by Dr Shabnam Showkat Sr. Academic Officer- SCERTJK.
H.R.Pakhroo in his address, appreciated the subject experts from SCERT Jammu and Kashmir, field level RPs and members from Pratham Foundation, for reviewing and finalizing the supplementary/TLM and expressed the hope that material will be of immense help to students in enhancing their learning and such endeavours shall continue in future for the benefit of thousands of students enrolled in different schools in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. Pakhroo also thanked Mohammad Shareef Deedhar, Joint Director SCERT Kashmir Division for being the part of the workshop all these days. He also expressed gratitude to the Principal Secretary School Education Department Alok Kumar for his able guidance and leadership of SCERT.
