RAMBAN, Dec 9: To record major occurrence of vital events like births and deaths in rural areas and facilitate the general public, the District Administration Ramban has constituted teams of first-level informants and notifiers for implementation of Jammu and Kashmir Registration of Births and Deaths as notified by the Planning Development & Monitoring Department.
The orders to this effect were issued by the District Magistrate. Ramban, Mussarat Islam, here today.
District Statistics and Evaluation Officer, Ganesh Kumar informed that the teams of Informants and Notifiers shall include heads of all Government Schools, ASHA Workers, Village Chowkidars, Auxilliary Nurse & Midwives (ANMs) and Anganwari Workers, which shall report occurrence of vital events within 21 days to the concerned Block Development Officer who is now the Registrar of Births, and Deaths in rural areas under J&K Registration of Births and Deaths Rules.
He said the District Magistrate has also directed District and Block Heads of the Line Departments to personally monitor the progress of tasks assigned to the informants and Notifiers.
Further, the DM also stressed upon the District Registrar (Chief Medical Officer) and Additional District Registrar (District Statistics & Evaluation Officer) to closely supervise the implementation of Births and Deaths Rules.
