Commissioner STD reviews status of issues popped up during B2V4

KATHUA, Dec 13: Commissioner, State Taxes Department (STD), Rashmi Singh, who is Prabhari Officer (Mentor) for Panchayat Billawar, today convened a meeting of concerned officers and PRIs to review progress on the issues flagged during her visit in the recently concluded B2V4 programme of the government.
Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rahul Pandey briefed the meeting about the focal points of deliberations and the action taken as a follow up to the flagged issues. Besides, discussion was also held on road map for the matters requiring intervention of higher authorities.
While taking comprehensive review of the popped up issues related to Panchayat Billawar, Commissioner enquired about the steps taken by stakeholders to resolve the issues besides extending support to the departments requiring assistance of the mentor.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the issues ranging from provision of piped drinking water supply, road connectivity, mobile connectivity, provision of toilets, opening of Fair Price Shop, Rural Hatt, Skill Development and Self employment, issues of drop outs/ out of school children, holding of disability camps and related matters.
The Prabhari Officer was apprised that piped drinking water supply will be ensured at the earliest besides the issue regarding provision of ICT Lab, school benches in GHS Sukral has been taken up with the School Education Department.
The department of Revenue, Health and Agriculture informed the meeting that Land Passbooks, Golden Health cards, KCC cards have been completely saturated in Panchayat Billawar.
During the meeting, directions were passed to DSWO and AD Employment, who is the Nodal Officer for District Skill and Self Employment Plan respectively, to identify and cover all eligible candidates under skill and self employment schemes by holding camps with stakeholder departments.
Regarding the issue of road connectivity, up gradation of PHC to Health and Wellness Centre and mobile connectivity it was assured that these will be taken up at appropriate level for early resolution.
Emphasizing the role of PRIs, Commissioner said that the public should be sensitized and made aware about the medical emergencies helplines 102/108, holding of ward sabha/ gram sabhas, mobilization of Women self help groups and exploring the tourist potential of the Panchayat so that holistic development of the Panchayat can be achieved.
ADC Billawar, Executive Engineer PWD Basohli, Executive Engineer PDD, Executive Engineer Irrigation, AD FCS&CA, Tehsildar Billawar, BDO Billawar and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
