Deputy mayor kick starts development work

JAMMU, Dec 15: Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu today started work of tube well at Raipur Satwari along with BJP senior leader and Ex. MLC Vikram Randhawa. Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Mayor Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the work of the tube well was pending in the area to improve the potable water crisis in the area. He said that he took up the matter with the concerned authorities and the work of this tube well has finally started. He said that the people of Raipur Satwari will no longer face the water crisis and thanked the Deputy Mayor Jammu for his support in getting the work started. Deputy Mayor Jammu Baldev Singh Billawaria said that he is happy that the work of the tube well has finally started and the people of Raipur Satwari will no longer face water crisis. The work of tube wells will be taken up under Prime Minister's Jal Jivan Mission. He added that the focus of the Mission is on "Har Ghar Nal Se Jal" to ensure piped water supply to every rural household of the country. Deputy Mayor Jammu further stated that the project would be implemented in a phased manner and the project will be completed in a time bound manner. He also said that an aware of the general public regarding the importance of potable water. He concluded by saying that the project will ensure water supply to the marginalized sections of society and will help in improving the quality of life of the people. He said tubewell will cater to the needs of people of Raipur Satwari for the next thirty years. Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu said that people of jammu and Kashmir are thankful to Prime Minister Narinder Bhai Modi for according top priority to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the aim of Govt. is to make lives of people easy and to give effect to this motto, liberal financial aid being provided for an union territory Jammu and Kashmir. Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu also said that all out efforts will be made in near future to ensure further development in Jammu areas. He said that the sum of rupees four crores one lakh for accomplishing the establishment of tube well and its allied works.
BJP senior leader and Ex. MLC Vikram Randhawa who was also present in the function said that such events should be organized in future for the betterment of the people of Jammu. Vikram Randhawa praised the efforts of the voluntary organization and also said that the event was one of its kind and would definitely bring some positive changes in the lives of the people living in the area. Vikram Randhawa said that appreciable decisions are being taken for overall development of Jammu and caters to essential requirements of people. He said that scarcity of water will no longer be a problem for the public in general for Jammu. The others who were also present on the occasion Naib Sarpnach Avtar Singh, SE Civil Vivek Kohli, SE Bodh Raj XEN PHE Anil Gupta, XEN Ground Water Dogra Ji & AEE's and other diginiters Surjeet Singh Chib, Hans Raj, Ramesh Kumar, Amreek Singh, Harpal Singh, Sunil Kumar.
Baldev Singh Billawaria, Deputy Mayor Jammu also visited Govt. High School, Raipur Satwari along with Ex-MLC Vikram Randhawa. People put forth a demand for the upgradation of this school. Deputy Mayor Jammu assured the people of Raipur Satwari that he will take up the matter with the concerned authorities. Deputy Mayor Jammu also interacted with the teachers and students of the school. He lauded their efforts in providing quality education to the students of the area. He also promised to provide all the necessary assistance to the school in order to improve the educational facilities. He also promised to provide the required funds to the school so that they can improve their infrastructure and provide a better learning environment to the students.
