Alok Kumar reviews implementation of schemes in Samba
Lays emphasis on grassroot impact assessment of public services deliverables

SAMBA, Dec 15: Principal Secretary, Education, Alok Kumar, who is also Mentor Secretary for Samba, today visited the district and reviewed implementation of various government sponsored schemes during a meeting held with the district officers.
Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Anuradha Gupta, SSP Samba, Abhishek Mahajan, ADC, Rakesh Dubey, ACR, Manu Hansa, CPO, Sukhleen Kour and other district officers were present in the meeting.
Deputy Commissioner gave a PowerPoint presentation on the achievements and progress recorded under different Government Sponsored Schemes besides presenting status of various iconic/development projects being executed by different departments and agencies in the district.
She Deputy informed that some of the projects undertaken in the district under various CSSs have been completed while others are in different stages of completion.
She provided comprehensive details on a number of rural development programmes including IWMP, PMAY-G, SBM-II, MGNREGA, SAGY, Amrit Sarovar, urban development programmes, roads and buildings, PMGSY, Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, Power Development schemes, Social Security Schemes, PM Kissan, Financial inclusion schemes like PMJDY, Mudra Yojana, PMJJBY, Atal Pension Yojana besides other schemes.
Principal Secretary, while reviewing achievements under different schemes, directed the officers to adhere to timelines set for achieving allocated targets. He exhorted upon agriculture officers to promote sowing of non conventional crops with longer cropping season crops in border belt areas.
Alok Kumar directed the officers to periodically review the status of beneficiaries being coveted under government sponsored schemes so that eligible beneficiaries are not left out. He also directed the education department to ensure registration of all schools in Pariksha Pai Charcha portal within the time frame besides implementation of cluster system.
Principal Secretary laid emphasis on grassroot impact assessment of public services deliverables. He also stressed on using modern technology in dissemination of information for creating awareness among public and ensuring saturation of all government services.
Later, Alok Kumar also visited panchayat Bagla Jakh as Prabhari Officer. He held a review/ follow-up meeting that was attended by PRI members including Sarpanch, Ramesh Kumar and representatives of line departments.
He reviewed progress made during the last month with special focus on the assigned deliverables like Golden Health Cards, land passbooks, KCC, Soil Health Cards, Self-Employment Schemes, identification of youth for skill training under Himayat etc.
