JSS, Jammu celebrates Cultural Bonaza

JAMMU, Dec 17: 17th December, 2022 was a much-awaited day when the students, staff and parents were filled with zeal to witness the extraordinary endeavours of the students, who worked enthusiastically for this occasion. The CULTURAL BONANZA 2022 was woven around the theme AAROHAN - UTKARSH BHARAT. The programme took place at SKUAST (Baba Jeeto Auditorium).The magnificence of the day was made stronger by the Chief Guest Vikramjit Singh (IPS),IGP TRAFFIC,JK POLICE.
The event was also graced by other revered dignitaries of the institution. Rohini Aima, Principal cum vice -chairperson honoured and welcomed the Chief Guest along with other dignitaries. The program started by the lighting of the lamp. Sapling presentation was also done to felicitate the Chief Guest Vikramjit Singh (IPS), IGP TRAFFIC, JK POLICE. Speaking on the Occasion, the Principal cum Vice-Chairperson Rohini Aima expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the guests for taking out time from their busy schedules to be a part of the celebration. She apprised the house with school's unflinching efforts to cater to the holistic development of a child's personality. She also presented a brief report on the notable achievements of the students in academics and co-curricular events which have brought glory to the school. The cultural fiesta was marked by a series of exotic talents thus creating the festive mood. The mantra recitation by the little Sanskritians was the first programme to set the mood of the audience. The various items presented as a sequence of audio-visual delight. The Cultural Programme based on the theme celebrating AAROHAN- UTKARSH BHARAT comprised Indian folk dances SOUTH INDIAN, BIHU, LAVANI , KASHMIRI, DOGRI filled with hues and vibrancy in its energetic foot tapping moves.
The prize distribution ceremony was also held to acknowledge the achievement of the outstanding students who performed well enough to arise as toppers in the academic as well as co- curricular areas.
It was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school. After the commencement of prize distribution , the scintillating performance in conjunction of various yoga asanas by students was greeted with thunderous applause by the audience. The program continued further with energetic performances by young champions presenting mesmerising blend of OLD INDIA progressive towards New INDIA. The synchronised dance movements, to the accompaniment of foot-tapping music, enthralled the audience. Sanskritians of junior primary wing took everybody on a rich cultural heritage trip of India. The tiny tots, wearing colourful costumes, enraptured all with their performance that laid emphasis on the importance of colour in life.
Chief Guest Vikramjit Singh (IPS),IGP TRAFFIC, JK POLICE addressed the gathering. and congratulated JSS, Jammu for being the trailblazer which has achieved many educational feats. The programme concluded on a happy note with a grand finale dance performance by the tiny tots.
The programme culminated with the Vote of thanks proposed by Trishna Sharma (Coordinator Junior Primary Wing) for well-ordered and fantastic conduct of today's event. CULTURAL BONANZA (AAROHAN-UTAKARSH BHARAT ) pinnacled with the National Anthem.
