St. Mary's Infant Convent School Solemnizes Annual Day, Christmas Bonanza

JAMMU, Dec 17: St. Mary's Infant Convent School (SMICS) Jammu held a colossal event in the glorious presence of venerated guests at Govt Polytechnic Auditorium to applaud the triumphs of students who excelled in scholastic and co-scholastic arenas throughout the year as well as to inspirit its little ones by commencing Christmas celebrations.
Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson - DPS Jammu and Founding Chairperson - FICCI FLO Jammu-Kashmir & Ladakh embellished the occasion with her baronial presence as the Chief Guest. Rev Fr. T. S. Jacob, Principal, St. Francis Hr. Sec. School, Akhnoor emblazoned the event as the Guest of Honor. Rev. Fr. T. K. Kuriakose, Parish Priest, St. Peter's Church, Mrs. Esther William, Principal, Alexander Memorial School, and Mr. Johnny William, IG, IPS (retd.) glorified the event as special vedettes. Chairperson of the school - Mrs. Anna Mary, Director of the school - Mr. Anthony Ignatius, and Principal - Mrs. Sheetal Anthony welcomed the special guests to the extravagant ceremony.
The ceremony commenced with a thanksgiving prayer service conducted by Rev. Fr. Kuriakose which was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the luminaries. The cultural spectacle to mark the distinguished accomplishments of students consisted of a rich medley of enthralling music, dance, and drama items by tiny tots adorned in colorful costumes. Students from playway to class three participated with full verve and vigor in an array of riveting performances which lulled the hearts of one and all. The highlight of the event included prodigious drumming performances by the maestro duo of Adrian Raj Anthony and Andrew Raj Anthony, the previous head boys and alumni of SMICS. The dynamic and mesmerizing cultural fiesta culminated into a grand finale with a splendid Christmas tableau.
Addressing the gathering, Chief guest, Kuwarani Dr. Ritu Singh, lauded the achievers as well as staff and management of the school for their exemplary efforts to ensure holistic growth and development of children of the town. Rev Fr. T. S. Jacob gave accolades to the team of SMICS for working tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of myriads of young students. The hearting and insightful words of dignitaries were followed by the honor of the notabilities by the school leadership which expressed gratitude towards the esteemed guests for ennobling the event with their benign presence. Parents beamed with pride seeing their little ones in the spotlight throughout the magnificent ceremony and praised the school for providing their children with a stellar educational odyssey.
