Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 25- A day after the last round of polling in Jammu, Srinagar and Samba districts, the political workers and senior party leaders across different party offices in Jammu spent the day speculating on final poll results.
Compared to previous days the normal day inside party offices started a bit late. As the day progressed party leaders started trickling in after taking enough rest to relax their nerves at the end of the long and busy polling day.
The BJP office in Kachhi Chowni witnessed hectic activity as jubilant party workers were eager to see each other to discuss the polling trends and division of votes in their respective areas.
The counting of votes is scheduled to take place on December 28. But before that happens, everyone having keen interest in the politics is searching for one single opportunity to announce his personal exit poll. The people across Jammu region were busy speculating the fate of majority of Congress and BJP leaders fighting a close battle. Though offices remained closed on account of X- mass holiday today but business community in several market places were seen discussing the poll outcome.
There were others who were more interested in knowing the fate of Jammu and Kashmir Panthers Party and rebel candidates. Whether PDP would be able to open its account in Jammu and whether BJP would crush Congress or Congress would be able to retain its stronghold were some of the questions to which people were looking for ready made answers from all those self- proclaimed poll observers.
