Baba Shivo’s Annual Chari Yatra taken out

SAMBA, Dec 20: The Chhari Yatra of Baba Shivo popularly known as Goran Baba by his devotees was taken out from the remote village of Sumb of a hilly block of district Samba to original and ancestral place of Baba Shivo in village Samotha.
According to a report, Saint Bal Yogeshwar Dass Ji Maharaj started the Chari Yatra by cutting the ribbon on this occasion. The Yatra was started with the beat of drums from Baba Shivo Dev Sthan Goran, in which hundreds of devotees were present. After a walk of about six kilometers, the yatra reached Baba Danga Dev, the first stop of the pilgrimage. It is said that Baba used to play Dhatara (a type of musical instrument) here and Baba Shivo was brutally murdered at this place.
Baba Shivo Goran Samiti President Des Raj Sharma said that Baba had come in his dream and asked him to take his Chari Yatra to his native village so that he could meet his mother Rani Kalli Devi and father Raja Lad Dev. He also appealed to the people to participate in Ati Maha Vishu Jagya on 26 January 2022 at Jagannath Temple Budhwani Samba.
Sant Bal Yogeshwar Das Ji Maharaj invited people to participate in the Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya to be held at the Jagannath Temple in Budhwani on January 26 and enthralled the devotees present at Baba Shibo's Samotha Dev Sthan by reciting hymns of Ram.
Balwan Singh DDC Vice President Balwan Singh, Senior Leader DAP Party Vinod Mishra, Brigeshwar Singh Indu BDC Member, Radhe Shyam BDC Member, Vinod Singh Vinny Vice President BJP Samba, Rahul Singh Sambyal Youth for Society President and some local people were present on the occasion.
