J&K on anvil of historic economic resurgence: Rana
12/22/2022 10:37:12 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 22: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today expressed happiness over growing realization among the intending entrepreneurs about massive industrialization in Jammu and Kashmir, saying this cannot be a distant dream anymore with the roll out of New Industrial Policy and strategies put in place for investment in the Union Territory.
"It really sounds soothing to know about the urge among startups to grow and make their contribution in the growth story of their place and the country", Rana said while interacting with the functionaries of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries at the Chamber House.
Devender Rana, who is also the BJP Prabhari Cooperative, Transport and Traders & Industries Cell of the BJP, visited the Chamber House on the invitation of the President Chamber of Commerce & Industry along with the Conveners and Co-Conveners of the Cells and had a healthy discourse over the schemes rolled out by the Centre and the UT administration for giving fillip to industry and promoting the avenues for trade and commerce. Inclination and urge among enterprising people to diversify and intensify their commercial activities will go a long way in their economic emancipation and empowerment, he said, adding that such initiatives can also help in generating employment.
Referring to the New Industrial Policy, Rana said it takes care of the existing industrialists and startups. He hoped that the stakeholders will avail of all benefits from the schemes available under one-roof.
He said the BJP is committed to holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir, adding that several path breaking measures have been taken in this regard in the recent past. Similarly, every sector of the economy is getting priority attention with focus on enabling youth to be job providers rather than job seekers.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industries raised several issues and called for addressing these at the apex level.
Rana said that all the points raised during the interaction will be taken up at appropriate levels for earnest appropriate action.
Prominent among those who participated in the interactions included President Jammu Chamber of Industries and Commerce Arun Gupta, Secretary General Gaurav Gupta, Secretary Rajesh Gupta, Treasurer Jagdish Langer, Bharat Bhushan Gupta.
