Jammu, Dec 25: A meeting of pensioners & Senior Citizens Welfare Society UT of J&K was held at Mubarak Mandi under the Chairmanship of Mir Gulam Rasool Botvani.
During the meeting it was stated that pensioners & Senior Citizens of UT of J&K are facing multiple problems / sky rocking price hike in all the essential commudities, unemployment, we appeale to the UT Govt of J&K for considering the enhancement of Medical Allowance at par with central Govt, Modification in pension table issued in 2016 under SRO 138, Enhancement of monthly pension from the age of 65 years as have been ordered by various states in the country, Providing of Ration on concessional rates to retired old age pensioners.
Adjustment of unemployed youths.
Members were of the opinion that Suggessions of Senior Citizens should be considered as and when required for the betterment of public besides all other facilities applicable in the country needs to be provided in the UT of J&K.
The meeting was attended by Comrade Baldev Raj Sharma President Jammu province, Gh Nabi Prengi vice president J&K UT Krishan Koushal from Jammu, Mohd Sultan Mir District President Anantnagh and D N Sadhu State Secretary for Pensioners& Senior Citizens UT of J&K.
In the meeting it was further decided to have next meeting of pensioners & Senior Citizens may be conducted during last week of January in Jammu Province for which date may be communicated lateron.
