Cardiac workshop on complex coronary procedures at SSH a new normal now: Dr Sushil

JAMMU, Dec 28: Department of Cardiology, Government Medical College, Jammu conducted a day long workshop in Complex Coronary PCI Interventions at Super Specialty Hospital Jammu. This was 13th of its kind of workshop conducted at the department. The workshop conducted by leading faculty Dr Miroslaw Ferenc, Director of interventional cardiology department at University Heart Centre Frieburg in Bad Krozingen , Germany along with Dr Sushil Kumar Sharma, Head Department of Cardiology , GMCH Jammu. The workshop was organized to keep abreast with the latest in intervention cardiology particularly in the field of complex cardiac intervention.
The Department of cardiology SSH Jammu under the able guidance of Dr Sushil Sharma has been conducting cardiac workshops with national and international expertise with a aim to do these complex coronary interventions Procedures free of cost which in addition to being accessible to patients are quite equitable and affordable to everyone so that masses don't have to suffer to travel to other parts of country to get these procedures done
Dr Miroslaw is one of the renowned interventional cardiologist and founder member of European Bifurcation Society. He has done many live interventional workshops and invited as Faculty and speaker in several National and International meetings and symposium in Interventional cardiology and other clinical aspects of heart diseases .
While Dr Ferenc displayed his expertise in this field according to latest interventional trends and patients from Jammu shall be highly benefitted by his skills. Dr Sushil Sharma has been organizing workshops in different aspects of interventional cardiology and department of cardiology is already doing high volume intervention work. This workshop facilitated the department for enhancing the skills in the field of intervention Cardiology.
Dr Miroslaw Ferenc admired the work done by the department of cardiology and appreciated the number and quality of the intervention procedure being done by the department under Dr Sushil Sharma. This Coronary unit is doing all intervention procedures, which are being done at the leading center in this country . He further added that the kind of procedures department is doing at Jammu is at par with any world center and I am pleased to see their work and skills. Eight complex coronary intervention procedures were done successfully
Dr Sushil Sharma thanked Dr. Miroslaw Ferenc and other supporting staff members of cath. lab for making all this possible and the interaction with international faculty will help the department in further strengthening interventions Procedures.
